What is in Amp-Hour
Amp-Hour is one system for a plating or anodizing job shop, built around the job and the tank. These pages say what each part does and what a person does on it.
Getting started
The trial opens on a sample shop. The starter kit sets up work centers, materials, reject reasons, metals and processes, and the Getting started checklist walks through the first real job.
Jobs, travelers and routings
Each process carries its routing with tank, time, temperature and current density. Receiving a job copies it and prints the traveler with a barcode per operation.
Schedule, capacity and the shop floor
The schedule board, capacity by work center, and the shop-floor screen where operators scan to start, log the run and complete each step.
Tank chemistry
Titrations against your limits, the addition computed from tank volume and issued from inventory, brightener replenished from amp-hours, and a control chart for every parameter.
Quality
Inspections with readings before sign-off, rejects, NCRs and CAPAs, lab tests, training records and controlled documents.
Certs, shipping and packaging
Ship prints the packing slip and carton labels, issues the cert of compliance with thickness readings and gauge calibration, and raises the invoice.
Customers, parts, quotes and pricing
Customer records with contacts and follow-ups, parts with their process, price and tolerances, and quotes that become jobs.
Outside processing
A routing step done by a vendor: the PO, the vendor packing slip, the expected return and the count back in.
Maintenance
Work orders on tanks and equipment, PM schedules, downtime, and calibration dates on the gauges that go on certs.
Environmental compliance
The wastewater discharge log checked against permit limits, hazardous waste containers and manifests, permits with renewal dates and the SDS library.
Inventory and purchasing
Chemicals, anodes and supplies at weighted-average cost, issued to jobs and tanks. The reorder report, purchase orders, receiving, vendor bills, payments and A/P aging.
Invoicing, receivables, ledger and time
Invoices from shipments or by hand, receipts, aging and statements, a double-entry ledger with financial statements, the time clock and the reports.
Precious metals
Daily gold, silver, palladium and rhodium prices, the surcharge computed on each invoice from the part's metal factor, and a reconciliation of metal bought against metal plated.
Customer portal
Customers you invite see their own jobs with progress, shipments with tracking, certs, invoices and quotes, and can request a quote. Portal users are free.
Team, notifications, messages and security
Six roles enforced on every request, invitations and shop-floor logins, notifications, messaging between staff, two-factor authentication, signed-in devices and the security log.
Every plan has every module. Modules a shop does not use can be switched off under Settings > Appearance, and the sidebar hides them.
